Therapeutic Massage

~Erase the days tension and soothe those tired muscles. Relax into a warm table and let the gentle sounds of soothing music sweep the day away. Therapeutic massage offers slow deliberate massage techniques using elbows, forearms, and knuckles to relieve tension and tightness from the overuse of muscles or injuries. Massage releases the muscle tension, increases circulation, improves flexibility, and relieves joint tension.

Acu-Massage

~An incomparable experience; massage and acupuncture are a perfect union of magical healing bliss. Find all the healing properties of both modalities in the same appointment. One or one and a half hours of massage willbe followed by a 30 min session of acupuncture intended to relax and restore the body at a very deep level.

Reiki/Distance Healing

~Reiki allows for a persons own natural healing properties to be guided. Non-Invasive healing that is deep and powerful; yet gentle and offers sometimes immediate and often long term healing. Your own natural healing properties will be guided through a series of movements over and sometimes on the body (if you are comfortable with physical touch). During the treatment expect to be deeply relaxed and fully invigorated after the treatment is complete.

Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction

~Popping, clicking, and headaches -Oh my. The first class Amy took postgraduate from massage school because being a hygienist since 1992, she had seen the pain TMJD inflicts. Massage can help release those muscles of the head and neck and decrease TMJ pain. She has found this massage to be extremely helpful for increasing range of motion, decreasing painful symptoms, and putting a smile back on her clients faces.

Myofascial Release

~Especially beneficial for clients suffering from muscle tension, fibromyalgia, and chronic over-use injuries, Myofacial Release is a gentle technique that is combined with therapeutic massage and involves applying gentle sustained stretching to connective tissue restrictions. Muscles are released and elongated to normal positions where strain is reduced and function is restored. This modality is incorporated into both the massage and acupuncture setting as the client needs.

CranioSacral Therapy

~CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on method of enhancing the flow of cerebral spinal fluid, blood, and lymph. Thus it facilitates the body's natural healing. ~John E. Upledger

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle approach that works with the natural, self-correcting mechanism of the body and the craniosacral system (the membranes and the fluids that surround the brain and spinal cord) to detect and release restrictions in mobility and enhance function. This modality is incorporated into both the massage and acupuncture setting as the client needs.

As your therapist, Amy will often combine several modalities in a session that creates an integrated and individualized therapeutic healing experience.
