Amy has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1992. In 2005, she graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health. Becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist by the Ohio State Medical Board in 2009, she began providing various modalities of massage therapy in her native Ohio private practice. After moving to North Carolina in 2012, she received her NC L.M.B.T. licensure and began a private therapeutic practice in the Lake Norman area. Following her passion for lifelong learning, she graduated from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in 2022 and has a Master's level diploma in Acupuncture and is a Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM)® (a Board Certified Acupuncturist).

       Immediately after completion of her board exams, Amy enrolled in a 6 month long immersive study with Ann Cecil-Sterman, author of "Advanced Acupuncture: A Clinic Manual," and "The Art of Pulse Diagnosis." to dive deeper into her foundational knowledge of Classical Chinese Medicine. Here she acquired deeper understanding of the treatment of the 68 channels of acupuncture and the practice of pulse diagnosis. Classical Chinese acupuncture includes the treatment of all the channels, including the Sinew channels, Luo vessels, Divergent channels and Eight Extraordinary vessels. With this understanding of the classical acupuncture channels, Amy treats people with a wide range of issues from acute injuries, chronic conditions, and mental and emotional well-being through acupuncture, massage and nutrition. Amy resides in the Lake Norman area where she continues to do what she loves; help people heal and maintain their health.
